Unplug the printer from the network/USB, turn off and turn on. If the printer comes to ready, print a config page. That generally indicates the formatter is OK.

Clear ALL jobs in the print queue, if present, then plug the network cable /USB in and see if the printer comes to ready. If so, open the print driver and send a test page (this is a basic confirmation of solid communication).

Update the firmware! You may need to connect through your laptop and a crossover cable (you did not specify your OS), or you may be able to do it via a flash drive (instructions in manual or at download site).

As a last resort, replace the formatter and any attached DIMMs.

Hi Bridget16,

Firstly, unplug every cord from the printer and then keep pressed the power-on button for 10 seconds.

Then, remove the formatter and reseat it making sure that all connectors are connected properly.

Plug the printer directly in a wall socket and do not connect it to a PC or network.

Turn on the printer and when it boots to ready state, print a configuration page through the printer's menu.

I hope this will help,

Cheers!
