Hi @yellowcat2,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

I understand how important it is to keep your printer running smoothly, and I’m happy to help you with that,  Since you mentioned the HP M234sdw, I’d like to confirm a few details so we can guide you correctly:

Could you please share the exact model name (for example, HP LaserJet MFP M234sdw) and the product number (usually found on a label at the back or bottom of the printer)?

Also kindly confirm If you’re enrolled in HP Instant Ink, kindly share your serial number with us in a private message so we can check your subscription status.

Meanwhile, here are a few steps you can check on the printer :

01.Check Toner Status

Verify if the toner cartridge is indeed low or empty.

On printer, control panel → Supplies → Toner Levels- Look for toner percentage displayed

If below 10%, replacement is recommended

02.Remove and Reinsert Cartridge

Sometimes reseating the cartridge helps the printer recognize remaining toner.

Open front cover, Carefully remove toner cartridge

Reinsert firmly until it clicks

03.Print a Test Page

Confirm print quality before ordering new toner.

On printer, control panel → Reports → Configuration Page- Check for faded areas or streaks

If quality is poor, replacement is needed
