@Mia22,

Thanks for engaging in HP support Forums! This is a wonderful location to converse with the community, get assistance and find tips! I understand you need assistance with making a copy and scan from your HP DeskJet printer. Don't worry as I have a few suggestions which should help you resolve this issue.

I have found a wonderful document which should guide you making a copy from the printer - HP Printers - How to Copy

rinters with basic control panels (no touchscreen or text menu display) support basic copy functionality and use default normal copy quality settings.

  1. Load plain or photo paper in the main input tray.

  2. Load the original you want to copy.

    • Printers with a flatbed scanner glass: Place the original print side down on the scanner glass according to the guide on the edge of the pane, and then close the scanner lid.

    • Printers with a document feeder: Load the original according to the feeder paper guides until the printer indicates it is detected. For most models load the item print side up. For mobile printers, load print side down. To prevent jams and copy quality issues, do not try copying originals too thick or stiff to bend without creasing.

  3. Press either the Start Copy Black or Start Copy Color button.

Regarding scan, I would suggest here is to use HP Smart App, For more assistance, please go through this link: HP Printers - Using the HP Smart App (Android, Apple iOS)

Please let me know if this resolves the issue, or if you require further assistance!

Eagerly waiting for your response!

I hope you have a good day ahead,
