Hi @HelpMe4203

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

I understand the situation—thank you for sharing the details. Since your HP LaserJet MFP140w is showing as offline, let’s carefully go through recommended steps to bring it back online.

Power Reset

  • Turn off the printer using the power button.
  • Disconnect the power cord from the printer and the wall outlet.
  • Wait at least 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord directly into a wall outlet (avoid surge protectors).
  • Reconnect the cord to the printer and turn it on.

Check Printer Status in HP App

  • On your computer, open the HP App.
  • Verify if the printer shows as “Ready.”
  • If it still shows “Offline,” select your printer, then go to Printer Settings > Diagnose & Fix.
  • Follow the guided steps to automatically resolve offline issues.

Re-add the Printer

  • In the HP App, remove the printer.
  • Click Add Printer and follow the prompts to reconnect it via Wi-Fi or USB.
  • Ensure the printer is on the same Wi-Fi network as your computer.

Clear Print Queue

  • On your computer, open Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
  • Right-click your printer and select See what’s printing.
  • Cancel all pending jobs.
  • Try printing a test page.

Firmware Update

  • In the HP App, check for firmware updates under Printer Settings > Advanced Settings.
  • Install any available updates to ensure compatibility.

For reference, HP provides official guidance here: HP Printer Offline Troubleshooting

This sequence should help stabilize the printer and bring it back online. Could you confirm if the wireless light on your printer is steady or blinking? That detail will help refine the next step.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
