hp laserjet m281cdw
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi I just purchased this hp laserjet m281cdw printer from Costco. I had the same problem, cannot print pdf . I tried everything I possibly could and still no luck. Finally, I hook up the printer and modem using Ethernet cable, not wifi, everything works great. Seem HP wifi has some issue. Any comment is welcome.

Thanks

If you can print some documents but not PDF then the issue is most likely a driver conflict with Adobe.   Many of these issues can be improved or resolved by migrating to a PostScript Universal Print Driver from HPs support webpage.  PostScript was designed by Adobe and is usually more successful with PDF documents than PCL print drivers.

Switching from Ethernet cable to WiFi should not impact the application printing process.  However, you may have accidentally improved your network performance by migrating from WiFi to an Ethernet cable.  If you happen to print massive PDF documents the speed improvements from Ethernet cable vs WiFi may have a considerable impact on printing times.

As long as your printer is working over Ethernet cable then I would leave the connection alone.  Something may be funky with WiFi for your printing situation.
