Hi All, I need some help.
We are migrating over to Windows 10 64bit, we have about 100 of these Hp laserjet p1102w printers. I’m doing the Windows 10 testing and ran into the following error when installing the printer via USB.
It prompts to connect the device via USB, after connecting the device it pops up with the error
"Printer Installation failed. A new printer was not installed."
Step 1
Step 2
Step 3
Ive used the latest driver on the website:
Driver ver. hp_LJP1100_P1560_P1600_Full_Solution-v20120831-50157036_SMO.exe
OS Ver. 1709 (Windows 10 64bit)

Welcome to HP Forums. This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips to your technical queries.
Let's try root uninstall and make sure the USB is unplugged while you do this:
1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features
2.) Select your HP Printer
3.) Select Uninstall
4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers
5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose 'Delete' or 'Remove Device'
6.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.
7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)
8.) Click on the "Drivers" tab
9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom
10.) Select Ok
11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows
12.) Close Devices and Printers
13.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.
14.) Type c:/programdata and click Ok. Go to the Hewlett Packard folder, remove any printer related folders & files.
15.) Restart the computer.
Once this is done, please install the drivers from: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-laserjet-pro-p1102-printer-series/4110394/model/...

For the mac os High Sierra for my laptop, I have uninstalled my printer Hp Lazerjet P1102w while it was disconnected for the printer. I then downloaded the latest driver for the printer and then tried to reinstall the printer driver and it said installation failed. What do I do?
