Printer has been fine for years & today we had a paper jam

Cleared paper, under printer cartridge & all fine except is now printing blank pages - duplex & single

Paper goes through printer as always but comes out blank - 20 pages / no jamming

All carriages / cartridges are installed correctly with no error messages

Never have seen this previously

Anyone have a solution

Thanks

Two things to  check. First make sure the transfer roller which sits below the image drum of the toner cartridge is still installed. If that is ok, you may want to remove the top cover as this is an older printer and sometimes the linkage that makes the laser/scanner shutter open and close depending on the position of the toner door breaks or is not working ok.

Transfer roller ok & shutter linkage is working ok

Very perplexing as printing fine up to paper jam

Only thing that is different, when toner cartridge reinstalled after paper jam, there was a flicking noise once cartridge in final position, sounding like flicking a playing card or  plastic

Did you remove the top cover to check on the linkage. If you did remove the top cover again, insert the toner and watch the toner cover as it should move up so the drum is now exposed which you can not see. Also you can test with the top cover off by plugging in the control panel and then moving the shutter mech by hand towards the left side so as to move the shutter open and also activate the top cover switch. Do a self test from the information menu to see if you get an print.
