When I try to print, one sheet will print then it will start cleaning. Once cleaning mode is over, the screen will display "Device Error". This happens every single time, after every single page printed. It has become unbearable. I have tried the solutions that i have found on the forums. Firmware and Driver updates, shutting off the printer, pulling the plug on the printer (on both ends) after removing the cartridges, power draining, etc. Nothing has helped. I want to avoid purchasing a new printer, but I'm almost at my wits end with this one.

I have gone through your Post and I appreciate all your efforts and expertise in troubleshooting this issue

I suggest we perform an NVRAM Reset

Since these steps are specific to your printer mode, I will be sending you the instructions in a private message

I have exactly the same problem with my printer, same model Laserjet Pro 200 m276nw. I have carried out the full reset and NVRAM steps, changed paper weight (paper type) but no avail.

This is very frustrating as the cleaning cycle runs after every page printed and my wife needs this printer for her business.

KrazyToad would you mind sending me more options to try?

thanks

Most of the time it's caused by so called sticky solenoid.

There're two of them one for paper input and another for iTB motor control.

If it is the case you need to take M276 apart to fix them.

The paper input one seats at bottom right side of the machine and it controls the pick-up roller's turning, the  iTB motor control one seats at top right side coner.

Not an easy job to do and you'll need a service manual which can be found by google.
