I am still waiting for the solution. The manual, page 131, reads:

2-line and touchscreen control panels: 1. On the printer control panel, open the Setup menu. 2. Open the Service menu. 3. Select Restore Defaults. The printer automatically restarts.

This is incorrect.

The password is required to do the reset.

This recommendation did not work. Being disabled, it's difficult to keep "trying." I just need to reset the printer to factory settings so I can use the printer.

@Kinscherff   Try printer reset -   1) Take out the cartridges.  2) Unplug the power cord from the printer & wall.  3) Wait for 30 seconds.   4) Plug the power cord back into the printer and wall, ensure the printer is plugged into the wall & not to a surge protector.  5) Insert the cartridges back into the printer.   and the try the NVRAM steps again -   Let me know.

Appreciate you trying the steps. As the issue still persists, I'd suggest you Contact HP in your region regarding this.
