m132 Enters the disabled state. In this state, the printer is not detected by the full solution driver over the network. When checking Print & scan doctor fixes a port compatibility error, but this does not fix the problem. Printer firmware update fixes the error for a while
Is there any hope that this is a software bug?

What type of port is the driver connecting with. Windows 10 often uses a WSD driver but these have been problematic and printers often drop off when they run out of paper or go to sleep and the system does not detect when they are no longer in an error state. If the port is WSD then you want to change and use a standard TCP/IP for the driver. You can change this without uninstalling the driver. On the PC, go to control panel>devices and printers and right click the icon for your printer and select printer properties from the drop down menu. Then find the port tab, click add new port and create a new TCP/IP port using the IP address of the printer.
