Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

When attempting to print, the printer wakes and the print queue is flushed but the document is not printed.

A standard Windows test page was able to print as a final step of the install process but subsequent test pages from printer properties dialog fails.

Printing a status page succeeds from both the printer control panel as well as embedded web server.

Printing PDF's from Adobe Acrobat works

All other attempts at printing various documents have failed from a variety of applications.

Steps taken without resolving problem:

1. Printer disconnected from network and power for 5 minutes and then reconnected,

2. Printer reset to defaults.

3. Printer drivers uninstalled and then reinstalled from fresh downloads, twice.

Are you using the dedicated driver or the Universal Print Driver. Also, you are connecting via network. Are you using the automatic connection setup or are you manually configuring a TCP/IP port. The most reliable connection is to create a TCP/IP port. The automatic often defaults to WSD which causes plenty of problems.

Thanks for the reply.

I'm using the dedicated driver. I've tried the full product install as well as the more basic driver installer (just print and scan, no ocr). I am using the most recent driver install package listed for this printer. (May 2019)

I am using a wired network connection.

The printer was found using the wired HW address obtained from the configuration report.

The printer is listed as using the HP standard TCP/IP port connection.

While continuing to test, I have discovered that jpg images and pdf documents will print when right clicking from the file explorer.

Printing a test page only works from the installer and not from printer properties.

Any other suggestions?

Thank you
