The main question I have is are you using genuine HP toner cartridges or aftermarket toners?
You are printer calibrates its color automatically and unless you have changed settings should be able to produce accurate colors without any resets.

You can even click both buttons. . .

I'm using genuine hp ink. I've recently replaced just about all my colors including black. All other three colors are in on the Print Quality Diagnostic. Black is blank.
I have followed all instructions. No stick residue from the packaging tape, etc. I've cleaned and aligned heads. The results are the same.
Anything else I can do? Maybe buy a new black? The one I have is not that old.

In the diagnostics menu there is an item disable cartridge check. You need to choose that item and when the printer says ready diagnostics mode, open the toner door and swap the cyan and black toners. Now do the same pq troubleshooting pages again. If still missing black then then the toner cartridge is bad and needs replacing. If the cyan is now missing you will probably need to get the printer serviced by a technician.
