Hi,

I would also suggest following the HP Smart Install Control Utility with the printer connected to your PC, disable the Smart Install feature, restart the printer and check if it may then detect it differently:

Once disabling the HP Smart Install feature, power off the printer, reinstall your latest HP software and only power on the printer when the installation asks to connect it:

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/COL32431/bi-80329-11/hp_LJP1100_P1560_P1600_Full_Solution-...

 

May it detect it differently now?
