no automatic duplexing on M252dw

Hi all,

HP M252dw Laser Printer. Brand new. Just took it out of the box yesterday and have been trying to figure it out.

Windows 10 on a Toshiba Satellite Laptop.

I can't seem to get the machine to auto duplex. I've tried using a variety of settings but to no avail. It always tells me to load this tray or that tray, manually. It prints on both sides, very nicely I might add,  just not automatically. What am I not doing right?

The box should have the following items:

HP Color LaserJet Pro M252 dw (B4A22A); HP 201A Black Original LaserJet Cartridge (~1500 yield) and Introductory HP LaserJet Color cartridges (~700 color composite (C/Y/M) yield); Installation guide; Printer documentation and software on CD-ROM; Power cord; USB cable

Have you installed Full Software and Drivers from the CD-ROM which comes with your printer to your computer yet ? If no, please install the software first. If yes, please download the following tool and run on your computer:

         http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/COL50848/Im-145520-4/HPPSdr.exe

The box contained a CD for installing the software yes, but my laptop doesn't have a device to run the CD. I downloaded the software from the HP website for my specific machine. Is there separate software for the duplexing function? That would be silly if it were so. I will run the diognostic tool and see what that yields. Thanks for your reply.

I ran the tool you posted and it told me that there was updated software. I find that odd since I downloaded the software for my operating system and specific printer from the HP website. Nonetheless, I now have duplex printing, and, the wifi works now as well.

The link to the software doesn't work, and it brings me up to an Error 404 page. Is there any other way I can access the installer?
