I initially had the problem and resolved it by wiping and reinstalling. Now, I still get the occasional spooler error and after a llittle bit, the lights go off on the printer, replaced by a blinking green light and I get a printer error. Sometimes that gets resolved by pushing the power button on manually, sometimes not.

Hello

I understand you are getting a print spooler error. The print spooler is part of the operating system, if it isn't running then you won't be able to install or print.

I included a document for troubleshooting this error. Follow through the document.

Try and Run the Print and Scan Doctor and follow Solution seven: Restart the print spooler device.

Hope this helps.

How is this process different with a mac? We have a laserjet p1102w, and i run Mac OS 10.6.8. The printer has worked great and wirelessly printed for years. The internet company sent us a new router last week, and I have spent literally 6 hours+ trying to find the information on how to connect the printer to the new router, and be able to print wirelessly again. I've followed advice online, but when I get to the print utilities, there are NO OPTIONS to choose from. This led me to think that I needed to reinstall the software. I've downloaded and installed it 3 times, twice from the hp site, and once from apple.com. The charming result is that I can no longer print even when I'm plugged into the printer. I am extrememly frustrated and it seems to be more reasonable to BUY A NEW PRINTER than try to get this perfectly good one to make the change to the new router. Please advise a fast and reliable solution!!!!

What do you do when you never get prompted to connect the USB cable?

I've deleted the device and am trying a fresh install.

The old IP address was 192.168.1.104 - I tried connecting to it but timed out.

My ISP changed yesterday and a new wreless router was installed, but technitian did not reconnect my p1102w printer.  New router is WPS emabled and I have tried sysnching with the router with the printer with no success.  I reinstalled the printer and the driver using the HP CD and connected to the printer by USB.  I then tried again to synch to the router with by WPS, but no luck.  When I printed the device config page, it still shows the old router SSID.  How do I tell the printer the new router SSID?  Help, Please!

Does the 1102W wirelessly print on Windows10?  I have not been able to configure my printer thus far.

The p1102w is a strange and antiquated beast; I know, because that's my workhorse printer.  To reinstall, you must wipe the old installation first, then attached the printer to a USB cable on your computer to reinstall.  It's totally weird and due, I believe, to the onboard installation procedure required.  Newer printers don't have this problem......there are several articles on the board that discuss how to reinstall, so be sure to follow the procedure closely.

Another fun thing is that if you are using it wirelessly, it will 'forget' the connection fairly often, and will ceast to work with only a wireless connection.  Haven't been able to solve that issue.  Good luck.

Hello! I changed the password network and my printer stopped printing.
I've tried everything!! The USB connection won't work since day one, so it's not an option.
uninstall program, done
turn off firewall, done
restart printer, done

HELP PLEASE! 😞
