it used to work. seems it doesn't see it. I changed the cable, removed the printer from Control Panel, went to re-add it, it's not found.

When I plug it in, HP Smart Install shows up.

I downloaded the newest drivers, I run them, then nothing happens.

Any idea how to fix this?

@pranaman

Welcome to HP Forums,

This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips to your technical queries.

To provide you with an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details:

Are you facing this issue after an update?

Do you see any error message?

I recommend you delete the driver at the root level and Install the drivers, follow the steps below:

Note: connect the USB when prompted while installing drivers.

1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features

2.) Select your HP Printer

3.) Select Uninstall

4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers

5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose `Delete' or `Remove Device'

6.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.

7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between "printui.exe" and "/s")

8.) Click on the "Drivers" tab

9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom

10.) Select Ok

11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows

12.) Close Devices and Printers

Then, Click on this link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/drivers/selfservice/swdetails/hp-laserjet-pro-p1102-printer-series/4110... to download and install the HP LaserJet Pro P1100, P1560, P1600 Series Full Feature Software and Driver

Keep me posted, how it goes!

Have a great day!

hey Raj1788, thanks.

Are you facing this issue after an update? It may be after a Windows update.

Do you see any error message? No.

after typing printui.exe /s,  I see:

hp-Capture1.PNG

I don't see any 1102 references. I clicked one, a P3011, and see:hp-Capture.PNG

not sure which one to do.

Remove one, none, some, or all?

If removing, which option - remove driver, or driver and package?

Thanks

@pranaman,

It looks like you were interacting with @Raj1788, but he is out for the day & I'll be glad to help you out,
I'm the Jeet_Singh & I'm at your service.

After reviewing your post thoroughly, I would suggest here is to delete HP LaserJet and other HP If you are not using it.

If you are still facing the issues to remove the driver, then try using a 3rd party software removal applications like "Revo uninstaller" or "Wise" to completely remove the programs.

Let me know if this helps!

Have a great day ahead! 🙂

Jeet_Singh,

Thank you, however, I asked some specifics questions, and I don't see those answers.

I asked "Remove one, none, some, or all?

If removing, which option - remove driver, or driver and package?"

Could you answer those?

@pranaman,

It's great to have you back and your patience is greatly appreciated.

In this scenario, I would suggest you choose remove driver and driver package.

Please follow the instructions and get back to us with the results as this will help me in further assisting you.

Take care now and do have a fabulous week ahead. 🙂
Regards,
