Product: hp laserjet p1102w
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

does anyone know how many cartridges does the printer save in its memory or where i can find out? ive been through 3 so far and im saving the used ones to refill them but i dont know if they will still be in the printers memory or if i need to go through more.

In some cases I've seen new Chips available on eBay, and there might be a way to reset them but I'm not familiar with it. I have seen chip resetters for some inkjet printers but I don't pay a lot of attention to that because I normally only install new OEM cartridges

You're thinking ink jet, LaserJet cartridges work differently.

The chip on the LaserJet cartridge gets written when the cartridge is used.

This is not just a one-time write the page count is updated on the cartridge every few pages.

so is there a way to reset the chip on the cartridge without actually changing it? where i live i cant readily buy chips to switch it out. and its cheaper to just refill them
