 Hello,  I usually get this error on the second page of a print job. I have checked the paper guides, removed the drum and verified that there is no paper jam,    Does anyone know what this error means?

It is a paper sensing issue. All the service manual says to do is replace the dc controller is the issue keeps coming back. You could run a menu map and see if there is a setting for media sensing which is usually on auto and go to that setting and set it for the actual media in the tray.

41.07.12 - Media transportation error : Seems the Autosense of media from Tray 2 is not working.

Try cleaning the separation roller and feed roller in Tray 2 and the sensor(you need to remove the tray 2 and the sensor will be inside the printer)

You have to check the pick up rollers of tray 2, clean them or better yet replaced them for new ones.

If after doing this the issue remains you have to replaced the DC controller of the unit. If the printer is under warranty you can contact HP support at www.support.hp.com or an Authorized Service Provider  at http://www8.hp.com/us/en/store-finder/find.do?bs=SR4&type=authorized

This happens for me using tray 1 Printing envelopes from InDesign, setting on driver is Envelope

If you have changed the pickup rollers, I suggest cleaning with an air duster the pape size sensors , part of the tray complete pickup assembly or better still replaced the assembly. You may have to completely remove the feed assembly, which may be time consuming. An indication that it is the cause , is heavy contamination of paper dust inside the machine.
