@Umesh8357, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

When your printer hangs with the "Printing" message displayed for an extended period, it can be caused by several factors. Here are some steps you can take to diagnose and potentially resolve the issue:

Restart the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug the power cord from the power outlet.
  • Wait for about 60 seconds, then plug the power cord back in and turn the printer on. This process can help reset the printer's internal memory.

Check Printer Connection:

  • Ensure that the printer is properly connected to the computer or network. For network printers, ensure the network connection is stable.
  • If connected via USB, try using a different port or replacing the USB cable.

Clear Printer Queue:

  • Go to the control panel on your computer and open the 'Devices and Printers' section.
  • Right-click on your printer and select 'See what's printing.'
  • Cancel all documents in the queue, especially if large or complex print jobs are causing the slow response.

Update or Reinstall Drivers:

  • Visit the HP support website to check for and install the latest drivers for your printer model.
  • Uninstall the current printer drivers and then reinstall them to eliminate corrupt drivers as a cause.

Check for Firmware Updates:

  • Sometimes, a bug within the printer's firmware can cause it to hang. Check the HP support website for any available firmware updates for your printer model and follow the instructions to update it.

Check Printer Configurations:

  • Access the printer's control panel or use the Embedded Web Server (EWS) to verify that the settings and configuration are correct.
  • Ensure that memory and storage functions (if applicable) are not overloaded or misconfigured.

Test with Another Document:

  • Attempt to print a different, simpler document to determine if the issue lies with a specific file.
  • Consider using different printing settings, such as lowering the print quality, which can reduce processing time for large files.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
