Printer has been spooling but not printing. Tried every suggestion to fix including deleting all printers, which I did, now I can't reload software. Can anyone help. Warranty has expired.

Hi @helpmeplease47,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand your printer is spooling but not printing, and you have issues reloading the software. You can follow these steps to troubleshoot the problem:

Check the Printer's Status:

  • Ensure that your printer is turned on and connected properly to your PC.
  • Check for any error lights on the printer or error messages on the PC.

Clear Print Queue:

  • Open the "Devices and Printers" from your computer's Control Panel.
  • Right-click on your printer and select "See what's printing."
  • Cancel all pending print jobs to clear the print queue.

Restart the Print Spooler Service:

  • Open the "Run" dialog by pressing Win + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
  • Look for "Print Spooler" in the list of services. Right-click it and select "Restart."
  • This will reset the print spooler and may resolve the issue.

Reinstall Printer Software:

  • Ensure no current printer drivers or software are affecting the installation.
  • Visit the HP Support website HP Support and locate the driver specific to your printer model.
  • Follow the instructions to download and install the correct software for your printer.

Ensure Proper Connection:

  • Verify that all cables are connected securely if using a wired setup.
  • For wireless connections, ensure that your printer is connected to the same network as your computer.

    I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
