Hi Smita

Sorry for the delay.  I had to do several trials and running down to the basement where the desktop with the printer is and my laptop in the living room.

Ok, the good news is that it is finally working.  Now I am able to send print jobs from my laptop to the printer in the basement via wifi connecting to my son's desktop Ethernet and to printer.

What I did was remove the device from my laptop. Couldn't find the driver software on mine.  Then I went down, clicked on my laptop icon showing in the Desktop, then installed new printer and downloaded the driver.

 

Now it works.  I cannot thank you enough to stick with me without giving up.  My congratulations to HP for having such dedicated employees.  Thank you, Smita!
