I bought it used, was supposed to be fully working in all areas. That has not been the case. I have Publisher set for Portrait, the printer is set for portrait, but it come out landscape almost every time, so frustrating and wasting lots of ink and paper! HP wants to use the cloud for helps but I don't use the cloud, so they closed the help service. What is the trick to make this, HP LaserJet Pro MFP 3301sdw, print in portrait?

Hi @Squirlee1,
When pages come out in the wrong orientation, there's usually a mismatch between the page setup in Publisher and the printer driver's own settings, or an "auto-rotate" option is overriding them.
- In Publisher, go to Page Design > Size > Page Setup and confirm the page is Portrait and the size matches your paper (Letter or A4).
- Go to File > Print > Printer Properties (or Preferences) and set Orientation: Portrait. If you see Auto-rotate, Rotate by 180° or a similar option under Advanced/Finishing, turn it off.
- Set the same defaults for every app: Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners > your 3301sdw > Printing preferences > Portrait.
- Print a test page from another app (Word or Notepad). If that prints correctly, the problem is the Publisher file's page setup.
- If it still rotates, install the latest driver for your model from HP Software and Driver Downloads (enter LaserJet Pro MFP 3301sdw). You don't need the cloud for this.
