I do not see where you mentioned your Printer Model or Operating System / version.

If you did so, the post failed to include the information.

I'm pulling your printer model from one of your previous posts

Product: HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP 3303sdw
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

====================================

Based on what we know --

There are a few options for "Scan to Email", including one and more of:

1)  EWS - SMTP - Scan to Email - Profile / Quick Sets

2)  Windows - Full Driver / Full Solution Software - HP Scan / HP Universal Scan

3)  HP Smart - Windows and HP App - Mobile / Mac > Shortcuts - Email

Examples - FYI -

====================================

1)   EWS - SMTP - Scan to Email

-- Reminder --

Create / use / apply your App Password in place of your regular email account password.

If the App Password is failing --

  • Sign into your Email security
  • Switch OFF 2FA (2-step verification)
  • Wait one minute
  • Switch ON 2FA
  • Create a new App Password to be used with your email account

 How to set up ‘Scan to Email’ on HP Color LaserJet Pro & HP OfficeJet Pro printers

Open your Browser > Type / enter the Printer IP address into URL / Address bar

1)  Section General > Email Servers

And, next

2)  Section Scan > Scan to Email

===============================

2)   Windows - Scan to Email -

HP Smart - Windows

Full Solution / Full Driver Printer Software

-- Reminder --

Ask if you need information on how to install the full driver / full solution software.

Web Pack Installation - Open Web Page - Full Driver Printer Software

HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP 3301fdw-3303fdw and 3388fdw Driver Installation Software – Includes Print,...

Next...

For Windows

  • HP Smart - Windows > Share (to email)
  • HP Scan / HP Universal Scan > Send to (email)
  • HP Smart (Windows) / HP App (Mobile) > Shortcuts > Email

-- Reminders --

  • Send to Email / Share methods require that the printer and device (computer, tablet, phone) both be on the same network.
  • Windows >> Your email sender's address / account should be added to the (new) Outlook application before using Share / Send

Thanks for your reply and support.

Printer model and OS are correct.

Not sure where you saw any mention of “instant ink” in my post. Do not even know what it is…

Let me go through your detailed solutions. I thought it would be more straightforward to set-up. Looks like PhD required…

Thanks again

I might be the wrong Expert to answer your question.

Smiling.

Ignore whatever seems overly difficult --

There is more than scan to email method.

I've removed the clutter and examples from my first post.
