Good Day. A warm welcome to the HP community. I reviewed the case regarding issues with the printer displaying an error that it is initializing. Superb description and terrific observations made before posting. It will be a delight to assist you here.
To assist you with accurate information I would require more information regarding this:
- Did this happen after a recent power outage or surge?
- Did you hard reset the printer?
For now, try these steps:
- Please perform a hard reset on the printer from this link: https://hp.care/2Movj55 by following instructions from this section “Step 2: Reset the printer”
- Now check if the issue gets fixed. If it still continues, please check this user guide: https://hp.care/2usDcMA and restore factory defaults on the printer if it lets you to. Refer to page 92 for instructions on how to do it.
Now check if it gets fixed. If the issue continues, then I will send instructions in a private message to perform an NVRAM/Super NVRAM reset to factory default settings. This should do the trick for you. Please check your forum private message box for instructions from me on how to do it. This should do the trick for you.
Perform all these steps patiently as it is critical to resolving the issue. Good luck to you. I will keep a watch for your response.
Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
To simply say thanks, please click the "Thumbs Up" button to give me a Kudos to appreciate my efforts to help. If this helps, please mark this as “Accepted Solution” as it will help several others with the same issue to get it resolved without hassles.
Take care and have a blessed week ahead. 🙂
