I had to remove the print cartridges and the cartridge carrier came completely out. Now I can't get it back in.

Hi @Eric921,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand you've encountered a situation where the cartridge carrier has come completely out of your HP printer, and you're having trouble reinserting it. Follow these general steps to resolve the issue:

Power Off the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source to ensure safety during the process.

Access the Cartridge Area:

  • Open the printer’s top cover or cartridge access door to reveal the cartridge area.

Position the Carrier:

  • Carefully align the cartridge carrier back onto the tracks it originally moved along. Ensure it is positioned correctly according to your printer model's specifications.

Slide the Carrier Back:

  • Gently slide the cartridge carrier back into its designated area. It should glide easily if aligned with the tracks.

Secure the Carrier:

  • Once the carrier is back in place, make sure it clicks into position securely.

Reinsert the Ink Cartridges:

  • After aligning and securing the carrier, reinstall the ink cartridges into their respective slots. Press down until they click into place.

Close Access Door:

  • Close the top cover or cartridge access door.

Power On the Printer:

  • Plug the printer back into the power source and turn it on. Wait for it to initialize.

    I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
