Welcome @Doelpen,

Thanks for engaging in the HP Forums! I see by your post that you can't print from the computer. I will certainly do my best to help you.

Try and print a hardware self-test on the printer to find out if it is a hardware or software issue: Printing a Configuration Page. Select Method one: Print a Configuration page from the printer control panel. Let me know if it printed.

Download and run the Print and Scan Doctor. It will diagnose the issue and might automatically resolve it. Let me know the results of the Print and Scan Doctor.

Feel free to click on the "Accept as Solution" button and the "Thumbs Up" for my assistance. Please let me know the results and if there is anything else I can help you with. Thanks!

I kept downloading firmware, solution programs everything that was on the site and eventually it worked and I don't know why.  I suspect  it was becasue I plugged the usb directly into the computer anyway its working now. Thank you for responding to my problem though..

Hi,

When I try to install my network hard wired CP1025nw using Windows 10 64bit I get a "driver not available" message.  I can use a web broswer to access my printer and it seems perfectly happy and will print for other Windows 7 computers on the network but I cannot install it on my Windows 10 computer (HP Elitebook).

I have downloaded and tried the support assistant but it can't even find the printer.  When using the Add PRinter utility in Windows 10 it finds the printer but can't find a driver.  On the HP support site it says the driver is in Windows 10 so no success there either!

Frustrated!!!

Thanks,

Richard

I received an email from AuntieEm with a link to a full support package for the CP1020 series.  I had tried to use this before via the HP Install utulity and it didn't work.  So this time I downloaded the utility and ran it locally and it work great!!!

You can actually install a network printer over the network!  Finally!

Here is the link from AuntieEm:

For the cp1025nw on the windows 10, it looks like a full solution driver is available from the product page. http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-LaserJet-Pro-CP1025-Color-Printer-series/4052955/...

Hope you all have as much success as I did!

Richard
