Product: Laser Jet 500 color MFP 570 dn
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan

I think the wireless radio if off and I am not seeing anyway to turn it on.  There is no wireless icon on the control panel and no wireless set up in any of the menus that I can see.

Your printer doesn't have wireless, that why there is no icon.
