Can I scan over wireless ? When I try scanning over wireless using HPScan app I get an error 

 

HP Laster Pro MFP 126nw is currently unavailable. Please check if it is turned on and connected or try again later.

Thanks for reaching out to us on HP Support Forums. I came across your post and would like to assist.

 

I understand that you have an HP LaserJet Pro MFP M125 series printer and would like to know if you can scan over wireless.  Also, when you scan using the HP Scan app, there is an error stating the printer is unavailable. Not to worry, I'll do my best to assist you with this case. 

 

To assist you better, I would like to know the following information:

  • Have you tried to scan using any other application?
  • Is the printer able to make a photocopy? If yes then the evidence points towards a drivers issue.

 

Meanwhile, I recommend you to perform the following steps to isolate the issue and arrive at a fix: 

  • Disconnect the power cable from the printer while the printer is still ON.
  • Disconnect any other cables if connected the printer.
  • Press and hold the printer’s power button for 15 seconds.
  • The printer should be directly connected to the wall outlet and not to a surge protector.
  • Reconnect the power cable to print and the printer should power ON by itself. If the printer doesn’t power ON then please manually power it ON.

Now you may try to scan using different methods available. Please refer to "Are other scanning apps or methods available?" from this HP document

 

Finally, if the issue persists, you may download and run the HP East Start program to fix any issues with the printer drivers in Mac OS.
