Annoying HDX 8000 Home Screen won't go away even during a live call

My company has an HDX-8000 Video / Audio conferencing setup .  System Software 3.1.3-38278.

The problem is when I connect a Laptop to the system, I of course see the content of the laptop screen on 1 of the large video screens in the room, the other screen has the content of the in room video camera.

Whether a call is active or not I can't remove the HOME screen , it is annoying to have it block the content of the laptop.  I cannot find any way on the remote to cause it to go away.  My understanding is it should automatically go away when a call is started, but does not.  How can this be done ?

I have pressed every button on the remote, nothing helps.  I see no button called "near" on my remote either.

Do you have a Polycom Touch Control ?  If so, it will disable all the buttons on the regular remote.

I've included a picture of where the near button is located...

Do ANY of the button work ?

Gary,

The screen shot you sent me matches the control I have.  The remote works to the extent that I can highlight different menu selections and drill down into sub-selections fine.  But there is no option to remove the annoying Home screen  from the Video screen.  No button seems to do that, even during a live call.

What do you mean when you say  the below ? :
