HP Recommended

Got a VSX 7000, had a lot of problems with stability etc. As a last ditch attempt to revive it we're trying to flash the firmware. But in softupdate (and watching s-video output), it looks like it successfully writes the main image, then indicates that CPU1 will reboot... then just goes dead, doesn't come back online and the softupdate just sits there "waiting for reboot"

 

Powering on after goes straight into recovery mode and says it needs to be flashed using softupdate

 

Any ideas before I throw it in the bin?
