I have a Polycom Touch Control paired with an HDX 8000 & when accessing the User Settings menu (the green icon with the gear on it) the HDX system menu at the bottom is missing. What's odd is the system does show paired in the menus.

What I've done thus far:

> removed the PTC in the Web UI using "Forget This Device"

> unplugged the POE Cat5 & rebooted the PTC

> repaired the PTC

I've done a test with a working PTC & HDX and the HDX menu does show up. I thought perhaps it was a security setting in the Web UI -- Admin > General > Secruity > Security Settings > Allow Access to User Settings but this only limits what options are availabe in the PTC (it doesn't remove the HDX icon at the bottom of the screen.

Software Versions:

- HDX @ 3.0.1

- PTC @ 1.1.0

I've not updated the software versions due to an issue with Lync server but that is a completely different story.

Thanks for any input on the matter.

Hi there 🙂

So you can´t enter the "system" settings right ??

Maybe you´ve unchecked the box "system" in the home screen settings.

You can use the webinterface to enable this again or press the "i" (blue info) button on the remote control.

There´ll shown the "system" button.

As stated above, this sytem is using the Polycom Touch Control. The HDX remote can't be used with the PTC.

Just for clarification, here's a picture of a working PTC. In the system I'm referring to the HDX button in the bottom right is missing.

Actually figured it out. It was in fact the settings on the security page in the Web UI. My tech was using IE9 & the settings weren't saving.
