Hi,

Please sugggest for the below mentioned query in a firewall environment.

When a laptop is connected,it is able to ping the IP ,however when with same settings we are pinging through HDX the ping fails.

Please read careful at the top of PING page:

 

PING verifies that the IP address entered below can be reached from this system, and that the system is H.323 capable.

 


For example the diagnostics

 

H.323 is not reachable.
SIP is not reachable.
Average ping time is 0.5 milliseconds.

 

means that the host exists as a network device (is reachable by ICMP) but is not H.323/SIP capable (ports 1720 and 5060 are not reachable).

I have a problem with  polycom hdx 7000 when i want to ping default gateway or the server , ping failed
