Hi all.  We have a HDX7000 mobile cart with a desktop microphone.  We use the system daily for about an hour.  Yesterday the system worked fine without any problems at all.  Today, the caller can only hear us on our end very faintly.  Almost where they had to turn up their volume as loud as it can go  just to hear us but still was at a low volume.  What can the problem be?  Bad microphone?

Hi,

If it is a mobile cart, is there a chance that the mic cable has come loose at the Codec or the plug in on the mic itself? Failing that, it could also be a bad cable if it has been twisted and pulled...Those are a couple of experiences I have run into.

Good suggestions, also make sure something has not happened to the microphone array itself, like someone washed it with coffee or soda or even purposefully?

Make sure it is not covered with something, like paper or other material that may have been used to protect it from the enviroment.
