No that´s not possible, because skype uses a proprietary protocol.
You can have a look @ the solution from Blue Jeans Network. By using this service you can connect skype and polycom endpoints.
Kind regards,
Uwe

There are several ways to connect Skype with the Polycom HDX systems.
Our VSS-1 system is a stand-alone hardware/software add-on for your existing conference room videoconferencing system (SD & HD H.323 or SIP standards based )
It works with most of the current Polycom HDX systems, as well as the legacy Polycom VSX and ViewStation systems.
The features and benefits of this system include - support for Point to Point calls, Multi-Site Room to Room calls (via H.323 or SIP), and Skype Multi-Site Group Video Conferencing, plus streaming & recording. It provides full Skype capabilities - video, audio, chat, file transfer, SMS, screen sharing, etc. More details of the VSS-1 system are at this link - http://www.1pcn.com/skype/polycom/index.htm
