Is there a way to use a telnet command to do a profile backup of an HDX unit?

If we are talking about Port 24 (the control port on a HDX), then you can use the following.
exportprofile - Exports system and user profile information in a CSV format. The output is
available through a telnet or serial port connection.
importprofile - Imports system and user profile information in a CSV format. The input is
submitted through the telnet or serial port.
These are furthur documented in the Polycom HDX Intergraters Reference manual available on the Polycom Support site.
