Hi, We have just purchased a HDX 7000. Is anyone able to advise on what voice codec the system will be using. Is there a way to change this. Interested to know as I can't seem to find any reference to this in documentation I have. Please note this is new kit and I am only just starting to find my way around the Polycom products - so I have probably missed the information along the way.

 

Any help gratefully received.

Hello,

 

The data sheet contains this information, video conferancing units presetn a  table with different audio and video CODECS that they’re able to do.

 

This table has a hierachy, they automaticly select the best avialable choice.

These choices are dependant on bandwith, firmware revision, capabilities of the system.
