Although the system is not perfectly equipped for gaming, the following adjustments might be helpful to pull out some extra power when the system is running on battery:

Windows key > Settings > Power > Next to your plan: Change Plan Settings >

Change advanced power settings >

Scroll down, open Processor power management >

Adjust settings in each sub-category for both On battery and Plugged in >

OK

In particular, be aware that changing the minimum and / or processor state on battery may substantially change battery how long the battery lasts under load

In addition, consider altering the minimum / maximum settings for other categories.

Example:

  • Intel(R) Graphics Settings (or other graphics card in your system)
  • Display > Display Brightness
  • Display > Enable adaptive brightness > OFF for both battery and plugged-in

If you are running on Wireless:

Windows 7:

Start > Control Panel > set icon view > Power Options >

OR Windows key + X > O (Opens the Power Options) >

Select (your) plan > Change Plan Settings >

Change advanced power Settings >

Scroll down and Open Wireless Adapter Settings >

Click Power Saving Mode >>

Adjust Power settings for On battery and for Plugged in Options
