What is the resolution and refresh rate set at in the nvidia control panel for the LG monitor?

If its at full with 144Hz, does lowering the refresh rate to 120 help?

I have read about others having issues like this with DP cables. Yes they are capable, but some still have issues.

Do you have an HDMI 2.0 cord you can try instead of Displayport? If so, does the issue still occur?

HDMI 1.3 and up will have enough bandwidth but some say their monitors still have issues at 144hz on the earlier cables.

As for the issue with World of Warcraft...

If the HDMI cable stops the black screen issue, does it solve the WOW whitescreen issue?

I am not a WOW gamer so I can only guess.

It might also be the settings in WOW need to be changed.

Make sure WOW's video settings are set to not cap the FPS.

Turn off Vsync in the nvidia control panel if its enabled.

Other than that, you might have to ask on the WOW forums for help on that.
