HP 2622 wireless printer connect to Verizon hotspot problem

My HP 2622 wireless printer and laptop worked fine on my home network. I am now travelling and want to use my Verizon hotspot wifi. I can't get the printer online. Please help.

I'm looking for the best way to connect it to my Verizon MIFI Hotspot when we travel. 

I use the hotspot all summer in our camper.

Any advice and/or instructions would be appreciated.

This printer might not work on a hotspot.

However, you can connect to the printer's WiFi Direct and print.

I did get my HP 2600 connected to my Verizon MIFI Hotspot. I had to first uninstall and then reinstall HP Smart on my laptop to get it to work. Not sure why?
