I understand you've already checked some of the basic troubleshooting steps, like ensuring that the color cartridge is full and inserted correctly. Since the diagnostic print isn't showing color either, there may be a deeper issue at play. Here are a few additional steps you can try:

 

  • Clean the Printhead: Sometimes, the printhead can get clogged, especially if the printer hasn't been used for a while. Most printers have a cleaning function that you can access through the printer's menu. Refer to your printer's manual for instructions on how to do this.
  • Check Ink Levels: Even if the cartridge appears full, there could still be an issue with the ink flow. Try removing the color cartridge and gently shaking it to redistribute the ink. Then, reinsert it and try printing again.
  • Update Printer Drivers: Make sure that your printer drivers are up to date. Sometimes, outdated drivers can cause printing issues. You can usually find updated drivers on the manufacturer's website. 
  • Reset the Printer: Sometimes, a simple reset can solve a lot of problems. Try turning off the printer, unplugging it from power for a few minutes, and then plugging it back in and turning it on again.
