I’m trying to use the printer to print out something and it’s asking for a code or something

Due to the current global COVID-19 situation, we're seeing an influx of customers coming in for support. We appreciate your patience.

 

Is the printer asking for WIFI-DIRECT password?

 

If yes , the WIFI-DIRECT default password for this particular printer is 12345678.

 

If you have changed it then , the HP wireless direct password can be found by printing the information page.

 

To print the information page, press and hold the Wireless Direct button for more than 3 seconds.
