Operating System: iOS 12 - 12.0.1

Printer set up was easy. But I'm trying to connect mobile printing via the HP Smart app on my iPhone. To connect via WiFi, I need a password.  I've tried my HP Account password, and my printer passkey. Neither works. Where do I find and/or set up this password? Thanks.

Hi,

Do you have a wireless network or would you like to print with WiFi Direct? the Direct network is meant for a direct wireless connection when there is no router available.

 

To connect the printer to your home Wi-Fi follow 'Connect a printer that does not have a touchscreen control panel > Step 2: Connect the printer with the HP Smart app > Apple mobile device':

To use WiFi Direct try using 12345678 which is the default password, else hold the Information button on the printer to print a Printer Information Page. if you cannot locate a password there press both WiFi Direct and Information buttons to print a Wi-Fi Direct Guide.
