I have tried everything related to this issue as is detailed at https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/HP-Connected-Mobile-Printing-and-Cloud-Printing/Word-can-t-print-due-t... and nothing works the only thing I haven't tried is a re-install of office 2019 professional. If anyone has any other ideas on how to solve this issue that I haven't tried please tell me.

Hi @Icarus2020
Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.
- Have you tried printing different types of documents like PDF or Webpages and check if the issue persists?
- This could be an application-specific issue.
Make sure the MS office is up to date.
Try repairing the MS office
Refer to this document to know how.
If the issue persists, you may have to reinstall the MS office application.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
Please click “Accept as Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution.

If you have tried printing other documents and the issue persists, let us reinstall the printer driver.
Clean reinstallation of Pre-installed HP drivers
- In Windows, search for and open Programs and features
- Select your HP Printer
- Select Uninstall
- In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers
- In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose ‘Delete’ or ‘Remove Device’
- Open up the run command with the “Windows key + R” key combo.
- Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)
- Click on the “Drivers” tab
- Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom
- Select Ok
- Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows
- Close Devices and Printers, restart the computer.
Click here to download the HP Full-featured driver.
Once downloaded, make sure to run the file to start the installation and follow the on-screen instructions.
Try printing.
Alternatively, use the HP Smart app to print and scan from your Win PC
Click here to download and know more about the app.
Let me know how this goes.

- What happens when you try printing using the full-featured driver?
- Were you able to install it?
- Did you use the HP Smart app to print and check?
- Check the connection between the printer and the PC.
Try making a standalone copy and check if that works. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.
Let me know how this goes.

Okay in order:
1. When trying to print from word I get the same error message.
2. The printer is installed
3. I did use the HP Smart app to check the printer and it said that there were no issues. However, when printing a test page from the smart app I get an error message that states "Error Printing on HPE09DB4 - HP ENVY 7640 SERIES".
4. The connection is the same on every other computer connected to it as I am using it as a shared printer over a network using an ethernet connection.

Thank you for the detailed information.
Try making a standalone copy and check if that works. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.
The last resort would be to install the printer using the TCP/IP port.
- On the PC, go to Control panel > Devices and printers > Add a printer(at the top)
- Under 'Choose a device or printer', click on 'The printer I want isn't listed'.
- Select 'Add a printer using a TCP/IP address'
- Find the IP address of the printer by tapping on the wireless/ethernet icon on the printer screen
- Type in the 'IP address in Hostname or IP address' box, click next
- Proceed to the next steps by following the on-screen instructions.
- Try printing in color.
If the issue persists, Install the printer using Windows built-in driver
Refer to this document to know how. Try printing.
Let me know how this goes.
