Hello, I am desperate for your help. I have just spent £330 on this HP 15-bs0xx laptop and it only has ONE 3.5MM jack - headphone output and microphone input. I am trying to plug in a standard, 3.5MM jack cable from my vinyl turntable and into this laptop to record STEREO audio, but it won't detect anything, my previous laptop was a Packard Bell laptop and it would pop up with a menu upon detecting something being plugged in, IE; mic/headphones/output/line in - and then you would click what it was plugged in. This laptop doesnt have anything, can someone PLEASE provide a solution - I dont fancy spending a lot of money on an external USB sound card - thanks, Curtis

The combo connector on most recent computers is the stereo output, mono input TRRS, so you need to spend some £$€ to get a USB stereo input device.
