Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an HP desktop. It is configured for 5.1 sound. I can test and each of the 6 speakes and hear sounds. Then, when playing auduio, I only hear  2 speaker plus bass. How do I remedy this. I was gonna buy a new sound card, but was hoping to properly configure my current equment. Windows 10

What is the product number for your HP Desktop PC? ? Use this link to find it:  https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c03754824  (Ensure you do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc...).

Have you tried to uninstall and reinstall the Audio drivers. Did you try to update the Bios on your PC

In this scenario, I would suggest you follow the steps from this support document to configure 5.1 speakers on your PC.
