Hi @sipun942l
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.
I understand how frustrating this must be, especially since HP Hardware Diagnostics confirms that your AMD Microphone Array is functioning properly, yet it still isn’t picking up sound. You’ve done a great job troubleshooting so far, and I appreciate your patience.
Based on the B&O Audio Control panel and Windows Sound Properties in your screenshot, your microphone is correctly set as the default recording device. Let’s go through some HP-specific troubleshooting steps to resolve this issue:
1. Check Microphone Privacy Settings
- Open Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone.
- Ensure Microphone access is enabled.
- Scroll down and verify that apps like Voice Recorder and Zoom have permission to use the microphone.
2. Adjust Microphone Levels & Boost
- Open Sound Settings → Recording Devices.
- Select Microphone Array (AMD Audio Device) → Properties.
- Go to the Levels tab and ensure:
- Microphone volume is set to 100.
- Microphone Boost is increased (if available).
3. Disable Audio Enhancements
- In Microphone Properties, go to the Enhancements tab.
- Check Disable all enhancements.
- Click Apply and OK.
4. Update AMD Audio Drivers
- Visit the HP Support page for your Victus 15-fb0000.
- Download and install the latest AMD Audio drivers.
5. Run Windows Troubleshooter
- Open Settings → System → Troubleshoot → Other Troubleshooters.
- Select Recording Audio and run the troubleshooter.
6. Test with HP Audio Check
- Open HP Support Assistant → Troubleshooting & Fixes.
- Run HP Audio Check to diagnose microphone issues.
Let me know how it goes, and I’ll be happy to assist further! I appreciate your patience while we work through this.

Ok so i tried all the methood that you had mentioned. but none of them helped me..
1.Microphone access was already enabled and turned on for all apps
2.i had already set the input volume to 100%. Although the audio boost option was unavailable
3.I disabled all audio enhancements also disabled b&o audio effects and tried again but it is not working.
4.Sorry but i had forgot to mention my model is Victus 15- fb0050ax and the latest audio driver is already installed.
5. Itried to run windows audio troubleshooter but i don't know why it's not working like legacy version instead it's opening gethelp app which is useless.
6.same for hp support assistant. Using this i reistalled my audio driver and nope nothing chaged. And the diagnosis part showing everything is fine..

Thanks for the detailed update! Since you've already tried all the standard troubleshooting steps, let's explore some deeper fixes.
Advanced Troubleshooting Steps for AMD Microphone Array Issue
Step 1: Manually Reinstall the AMD Audio CoProcessor Driver
- Open Device Manager.
- Expand System Devices.
- Locate AMD Audio CoProcessor.
- Right-click and select Update Driver.
- Choose Browse my computer for drivers → Let me pick from a list of available drivers.
- Select an older driver version (if available) and install it.
- Restart your laptop and test the microphone.
Step 2: Perform a Clean Audio Driver Installation
- Download Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU).
- Boot into Safe Mode and run DDU to remove all AMD audio drivers.
- Restart your laptop and install the latest AMD audio drivers from HP’s support page.
- Restart again and test the microphone.
Step 3: Test Microphone in a Different App
- Open Voice Recorder and try recording audio.
- If it works in some apps but not others, check App-Specific Microphone Settings under Settings > Privacy & Security > Microphone.
Step 4: Disable Exclusive Mode
- Open Sound Settings → Select Microphone Array.
- Click Properties → Go to Advanced tab.
- Uncheck Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device.
- Apply changes and restart your laptop.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, let me know what results you get, and I can refine the approach further! Hopefully, we can get your microphone working again.
