Da alcuni giorni la porta AUX del mio PC ha smesso di funzionare e non riesco a capacitarmi del motivo. Ho letto che potrebbe dipendere dall'aggiornamento, ho provato a aggiornare i driver ma nulla.

A few days ago, my PC's AUX port stopped working, and I can't figure out why. I read it might be due to the update; I tried updating the drivers, but nothing worked.

Hi @pecciaivan,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I am sorry to hear that your AUX port stopped working after a recent update, there are several steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

Check Audio Settings:

  • Right-click on the speaker icon in the system tray.
  • Select "Open Sound settings."
  • Ensure the correct output device (your AUX-connected device) is selected in the "Choose your output device" dropdown.

Update Audio Drivers:

  • Go to the Device Manager by right-clicking on the Start button and selecting "Device Manager."
  • Expand the "Sound, video and game controllers" section.
  • Right-click your audio device and choose "Update driver."
  • Choose "Search automatically for updated driver software."

Roll Back Driver:

  • If updating the drivers did not work, you might need to roll back to a previous version that worked.
  • In Device Manager, right-click on your audio device, select "Properties," go to the "Driver" tab, and click "Roll Back Driver" if the option is available.

Check Default Format:

  • In Sound settings, select your audio device and click on "Device properties."
  • Click "Additional device properties," go to the "Advanced" tab, and try different default formats.

Run Audio Troubleshooter:

  • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot.
  • Find and run the "Playing Audio" troubleshooter.

Check for Windows Updates:

  • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
  • Ensure your Windows OS is updated, as a newer update might fix the current issue.

Perform a Hardware Check:

  • Make sure that your AUX cable and connected audio device are functioning properly by trying them with another device.

Reset Audio Services:

  • Open "Services" by typing it into the Start menu.
  • Find "Windows Audio" and "Windows Audio Endpoint Builder," restart these services by right-clicking and selecting "Restart."

Take care and have an amazing day!
