If you’re having trouble with your AirPods that are connected to your HP laptop but no sound comes out. Then what you should do is try to reconnect them then , go to sound- click mono audio off. Then while your AirPods are still connected turn off bluetooth on the laptops menu on the bottom right hand side where the battery level is at and then turn bluetooth back on.  This helped me i hope it helps you.

Hi @Jazzae_Xo

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Thanks for sharing that workaround—it’s a helpful tip and might just do the trick for others facing the same issue. If the problem persists, here are a few additional steps that can help restore audio to AirPods connected to a Windows-based HP laptop:

1. Set AirPods as the Default Playback Device

  • Right-click the volume icon in the taskbar and select Sound settings
  • Under Output, choose your AirPods and click Set as default

2. Disable Mono Audio

  • Go to Settings > System > Sound
  • Scroll down to Mono audio and toggle it off

3. Restart Bluetooth Support Service

  • Press Windows + R, type services.msc, and press Enter
  • Locate Bluetooth Support Service, right-click and choose Restart
  • Set Startup type to Automatic under Properties

4. Update Bluetooth and Audio Drivers

5. Run the Audio Troubleshooter

  • Go to Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters
  • Run the Playing Audio troubleshooter

6. Reset and Reconnect AirPods

  • Place both AirPods in the case, press and hold the setup button until the light flashes amber then white
  • Reconnect them via Bluetooth settings on your laptop

You're clearly proactive about solving this—let’s keep that momentum going.
