Hi:

Installing the Vista audio driver from your notebook's support page should work on W7.

Some dv2000 models have been retired from support.

If you cannot find your model on the support page, please post the product number of your notebook.

The product number can be found on the same label as the serial number.  Do not post the serial number.

Then I will see what audio driver you need based on that info.

Thanks for the friend response, I tried to install the view but it does not work, and I do not want to return Windows Vista since it does not have support. This is the serial number of my notebook GG587LA # ABM is the DV2325la of the dv2000 series

You're very welcome.

See if this audio driver works.  Install and restart the PC.  That would be the only suggestion I can offer...

Thanks for the help friend, but that driver had already downloaded it previously and it did not work because it gives me an error in the installation, I am going to attach an imageerror.jpg

See if you can manually install the driver as follows...

Go to the device manager, and click on the multimedia audio controller needing the driver.

Click on the driver tab.  Click on Update Driver.

Select the Browse my computer for driver software option, and browse to the driver folder that was created when you ran the file.

That folder will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp39972.

Make sure the Include Subfolders box is checked, and see if the driver installs that way.

It tells me that the best driver software for the device is already installed
