So I have this old HP Pavilon Notebook. Anytime I adjust the volume using the keyboard buttons (F9-, F10+), I get a really annoying OSD pop-up showing the volume level in the middle of the screen. Takes a few seconds to disappear. Issue is that it causes my apps/games to minimize and all I see is my desktop and the volume pop-up. Then my app is frozen and must be terminated using the Task Manager. It is very frustrating. This is standard FACTORY audio software, this computer does not have any other audio drivers or software installed. I think it might have something to do with HP media or the IDT controller, but I'm not sure and I cannot find any settings for this? Running Windows 7 x-64 SP1 latest update 07/2020. Please assist? Thank you! 🙂
